The CRA staff provides thoughtful, innovative, current market analysis to producers, processors, traders, and users of cocoa and its products.
For forty years, the cocoa industry has relied on CRA’s benchmark reports for interpretation of carefully collected data, presented in user-friendly formats. CRA’s data and analysis aid many firms’ risk management decisions.
Firms that produce, trade or use cocoa purchase access to CRA’s reports. The reports support these firms as they manage exposure to price risks in the markets for cocoa beans and their intermediate cocoa products.
CRA is not affiliated with any other firm. Neither CRA nor its principals or employees trade commodities.
While CRA seeks to give reliable information regarding past and future cocoa production, consumption, prices and other developments in the market for cocoa, CRA does not warrant that the information is without error or that a recommendation will generate profits for a subscriber to CRA's services. Because the subjects of the Cocoa Advisory Service are future events, outcomes often differ from forecasts. Although CRA carefully checks the data in its database, no database is flawless.
CRA will not exercise control over the decisions of subscribers in any futures contract, physical commodity or financial instrument. CRA will not control any account of an subscriber. CRA will not receive reports or information regarding the positions or actions of subscribers in any futures contract, physical commodity or financial instrument. Information, opinions and forecasts that CRA gives to subscribers are subject to change without notice and none is a solicitation for the purchase or sale of any commodity or security.
CRA does not trade cocoa commodity futures contracts, physical contracts, options, or related financial instruments. CRA does not trade equity or other financial instruments directly related to firms with principal business interests in cocoa or cocoa-using products, except that it may buy or sell shares of mutual funds and similar investments where cocoa-using firms are a negligible proportion of the total assets of the fund. CRA requires its principals and employees to observe the same prohibitions.
Commodities Risk Analysis collects only information necessary to administer its services and websites. CRA does not release information about the users of its services or websites unless compelled by law. While CRA believes that the information it stores is protected by appropriate security measures, there is a risk as with all computing activities that third parties might gain unauthorized access.
